Technology Overview

Greetings! The Husky Tech team aims to ensure that teachers, students, and administrators have the necessary tools and resources for a successful 2025 - 2026 school year. Our focus is on guiding teachers in transitioning to a transformative environment that is conducive to all learners. Tech support will include the following:

  • Encouraging teachers to use technology that authentically displays students' learning.
  • Staying in compliance with HISD and federal copyright policies.
  • Ensuring devices (laptops, smartboards, projectors, etc.) are operable. 

As of July 1, 2025, the HISD IT Service Desk has transitioned to a new support model for the 2025–2026 school year. You now have access to a variety of self-service tools, automated support, and AI-driven solutions to assist with your technology needs.

Meet AskIT, our new virtual IT agent. Whether you're facing hardware issues or have questions about applications, AskIT will guide you through a series of prompts to provide a customized solution. This 24/7 support is available at any time, from anywhere.

The HISD Solution Center
Explore the HISD Solution Center for a wealth of resources, including quick reference guides, training materials, FAQs, and how-to videos. These resources are designed to help you troubleshoot and learn independently.

Password Reset

  • Staff can reset their passwords using the HISD Access tool.
  • Students can have their passwords reset by Mr. Paul Paris or Ms. Letonya Brown.
