🎷 Westbury High School Jazz Ensemble 🎷

Jazz has long been an essential and celebrated part of the music department at Westbury High School. Our jazz program features a single, elite ensemble composed of highly skilled and passionate student musicians dedicated to the art and creativity of jazz.

Under the dynamic direction of Mr. Al Campbell, students are encouraged to make the music their own—exploring improvisation, expression, and the rich traditions of jazz. The ensemble regularly earns recognition at both local and state competitions, and many students have received professional accolades for their outstanding musicianship.

Our jazz ensemble is frequently invited to perform by Houston ISD and a variety of businesses and organizations throughout the greater Houston area. Whether on stage at a community event or in competition, Westbury’s jazz students consistently showcase excellence, creativity, and a deep love for the genre.
