🎵 Welcome to the Westbury High School Guitar Program 🎵
The Westbury Guitar Program offers students a unique opportunity to explore and develop their musical talents in a dynamic and supportive environment. Our curriculum emphasizes a broad range of styles—including Classical, Jazz, Blues, and Rock—while maintaining a strong foundation in guitar fundamentals.
Regardless of musical background or preferred genre, students will focus on essential skills such as technique, music notation, rhythmic accompaniment, solo performance, and ensemble collaboration. The program is progressive in nature, accommodating students at various levels of experience. Entry is based on a yearly audition, and students are placed in courses appropriate to their current level of ability and growth.
Under the expert direction of the phenomenal Mr. Al Campbell, students not only gain technical proficiency but also develop a genuine love and appreciation for the guitar and the world of music it opens. Our inclusive and inspiring classroom environment welcomes all levels of playing ability, encouraging personal growth, creativity, and a lifelong passion for music.
